Robert and Drena De Niro in 2016Drena De Niro is paying tribute to her famous father, Robert De Niro, as he celebrates another year around the sun!
The actress and model shared several photos of the Killers of the Flower Moon actor posing with his grandchildren throughout the years. Drena, 56, also shared a glimpse of his recent vacation to celebrate his 81st birthday.
Drena began her Instagram post with a snap of Robert, in red-and-white striped swim shorts, jumping off a boat into the blue sea. She accompanied the shot with a video of him diving into the water as she could be heard remarking in the background, “Woah, he’s so crazy.”

Drena was then heard asking someone “how many feet” from the ship's deck to the water below, and someone told her “30.” She exclaimed, “Wow.”
The A Star is Born actress also shared throwback photos of the actor feeding a bottle of milk to her late son Leandro De Niro-Rodriguez when he was a toddler and of the grandfather-grandson pair smiling together.

The final picture is of Robert with two grandchildren relaxing on a beach.
“Happy 81st Bday to my Dad and #1 ride or die .. Love you with all my ♥️♥️♥️ #BobbyD forever ✨👑✨,” she captioned the post.

On her Instagram Stories, Drena shared a photo of her dad holding her in his arms when they were younger, captioning it, “Happy Birthday to the King of the jungle.”
Drena was born to actress Diahnne Abbott and Robert. The former couple went on to have a son, Raphael, 47.
The Taxi Driver star also has twin sons Julian and Aaron, 28, with his former girlfriend, model and actress Toukie Smith. He shares son Elliot, 26, and daughter Helen Grace, 12, with his ex-wife, Grace Hightower, and a 16-month-old baby girl Gia, with girlfriend Tiffany Chen.

The actor often spends time with his kids at various events. In December 2023, he attended Art Basel Miami Beach with Drena and Julian, snapping several family photos at the gallery with them. The group squeezed together inside a photo booth.
In another photo, they posed in what appeared to be a brightly colored photo op at the fair with The Irishman star standing in the foreground while his kids extended their limbs in the background. They also posed in front of art pieces.
“It’s a family affair,” Drena wrote in the caption. “24 hrs of much needed joy, laughs, art, family time and friendship. What more can one ask for ♥️🫶🏽💙.”
