The pole dancer who performed at the lackluster Bridgerton ball in Detroit that made national headlines is opening up about her experience.

Many were surprised to see the pole dancer, identified as Tink by New York Magazine's the Cut, performing to the Maroon 5 hit “Moves Like Jagger” in the middle of an event based on a show set in the 1800s. 

In an interview with the outlet, Tink, who typically goes by the name "Tink the Fairy," said that she had never seen the show before she was hired for the event, which was held at the historic Harmonie Club in Detroit. But once she began performing, she was eager to leave.

“I was just thinking, When is this going to be over? I’m getting paid, so just do your job and get it over with," she recalled.

Tink said organizers reached out to her “the day of the event” and only confirmed her booking “about three hours before” she was supposed to be there.

She went on tell the Cut that she first danced to two "classical songs,” which “was really fun.” But dancing to “Moves Like Jagger,” she added, “was very uncomfortable.”

“They said they were trying to switch up the vibe of the event, trying to make it more upbeat,” she said.

And when she wasn't dancing, she said organizers "had me walk around and say, 'Hello, I'm your Bridgerton fairy.' "

"It was weird," she added.

Tink left the event about an hour after she arrived and had no clue how the whole thing had been perceived until the next day.

In fact, Tink said she was actually “impressed” with what the organizers accomplished. But fans who attended the event felt differently, with one describing it as "complete chaos" to ABC affiliate WXYZ-TV.

Uncle N Me LLC, which organized the event, apologized to customers who were not satisfied with their experience in a statement shared with WXYZ-TV.

“Our intention was to provide a magical evening, but we recognize that organizational challenges affected the enjoyment of some guests. We take full responsibility and accountability for these shortcomings.”

The owners of The Harmonie Club said in a separate statement that the venue is “in no way affiliated with the promoters and/or organizations that rent our venue for events such as the Bridgerton Ball.”
