Taylor Swift might not be attending the 2024 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, according to her friend Gigi Hadid, but the superstar will still be supporting the model from afar.

While getting ready backstage on Tuesday, Oct. 15, Gigi, 29, told Entertainment Tonight that Swift, 34, probably skipped the New York City event in order to spend quality time with boyfriend Travis Kelce.

"I think if they have one more night before he goes back they'll probably be cozy on the couch," the model said in a video shared to ET's Instagram. "That's just my guess. But she will also be supporting, I can feel it."

Hadid also shared that a surprise element of her runway performance was taught to her by Swift.

"There's an aspect to it that I was trained to do by Taylor on her tour," she shared. "In one of her rehearsals she was like, 'I'm gonna show you how we do this.' Did that, and now I'm using it tonight."

Swift and Kelce, 35, have been enjoying a short trip in N.Y.C. before their work commitments start up again. The NFL star's bye week is coming to a close as Swift kicks off the final leg of her Eras Tour in Miami.

The weekend kicked off with a double date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds on Friday, Oct. 11. On Monday, Oct. 14, Swift and Kelce attended the New York Yankees vs. Cleveland Guardians American League Championship game at Yankee Stadium. The couple matched in black outfits for the date night, both sporting baseball caps and black jackets.

Hadid, who has been friends with Swift for over a decade, made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut in 2015 and appeared in the 2016 show in Paris. She missed the 2017 show but returned in 2018 alongside her sister, Bella.

The model teamed up with VS veteran Tyra Banks to announce the 2024 return of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. In a clip shared to Instagram in August, Hadid walked into a hotel lobby, where Banks greeted her with a show invite in hand.

Prior to the show, Victoria's Secret shared that models Imaan Hammam, Candice Swanepoel, Grace Elizabeth, Devyn Garcia, Paloma Elsesser, Taylor Hill and Mayowa Nicholas would be walking the runway. In social media posts, Adriana Lima and Barbara Palvin also revealed they would be appearing.

The lingerie brand announced the return of the runway show in May.

“We’ve read the comments and heard you,” an Instagram caption read. “The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is ✨ BACK ✨ and will reflect who we are today, plus everything you know and love—the glamour, runway, wings, musical entertainment, and more! Stay tuned…it only gets more iconic from here. 🪽”

After coming under fire for a lack of diversity, the show was canceled in 2019. In 2023, it returned as The Tour, a streamed nontraditional show that was filmed in Barcelona, London, Tokyo, Lagos, Nigeria and Bogotá, Colombia. Hadid narrated the e, which aired on Prime Video.
