The supermodel and the industry executive met later in life at a time when Sims was "trying not to do everything." Speaking to the Today show in 2019, the Kinda Pregnant actress revealed that after being in back-to-back relationships, she decided to spend a year solely dating and "focus" on meeting different people.
Over a year after they first started dating, Stuber proposed to Sims in May 2010. The following fall, they married in September 2011 during an intimate ceremony attended by family and friends.
The pair went on to welcome three children together: son Brooks in 2012, Scarlett in 2015 and Grey in 2017. After their third child was born, Sims explained to Yahoo Lifestyle that while life was “a little more complicated,” she felt "lucky to have [Stuber] because we are a great team.”
“I’d definitely say we are equal players,” she added. “Team Stuber, tribe of five — we’ve got this.”

As a college graduate, Stuber joined Universal Studios as an assistant and worked his way up to vice chairman of worldwide production during his 20-year tenure, according to his bio on the Chaminade College Preparatory website.
He eventually founded his production company, Bluegrass Films, in 2005, where he produced various projects for Universal, like the Ted franchise and Central Intelligence.
After his time at Universal, Stuber lent his talents to Netflix in 2017 as the streamer’s film chief. While there, he oversaw the development, production and acquisition of films, including Bird Box, which broke viewership records, and Roma, Netflix’s first film nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars.
In January 2024, Stuber announced his exit from the streamer, Variety reported. Later that summer, he signed a deal with Amazon MGM Studios in partnership with his new production company under United Artists (UA).
Stuber told the outlet in July 2024 that he was excited to “produce a slate of films and to relaunch the iconic UA brand” while “producing a wide range of films with great filmmakers.”

Shortly after their 2011 wedding, Sims gave birth to their first child, son Brooks, in June 2012. Three years later, the couple's daughter Scarlett was born in March 2015.
The following summer, Sims exclusively confirmed her third pregnancy to PEOPLE in August 2016. “It’s a Hail Mary!” she joked at the time. “I’m so happy — we’re so blessed. We were so shocked, but we’re thrilled.”
Later the same fall, the author revealed the sex of the baby in a YouTube video and shared her husband's reaction to the news.
“When they first told my husband we were having a boy, I swear he almost started crying,” she said after Brooks and Scarlett opened a box of blue balloons, revealing she was expecting her second boy.
The pair welcomed their son, Grey, in January 2017.
Since then, Sims has continued posting updates about her family on social media, sharing sweet photos of her husband and children. She has given glimpses of the tropical family vacations they've taken together, their Christmas cards and other important moments.

For his part, Stuber has been his wife's plus one to several red carpet events, including for Baby2Baby's annual gala — a nonprofit organization that provides necessities to children in the U.S. — which Sims has been a longtime supporter of.
Most recently, in November 2024, en route to the nonprofit's annual gala, the couple's car broke down two hours from the event. Still, they found a way to get to the event looking camera-ready.
Though she maintains her relationship's privacy, Sims called Stuber her “soulmate" in a June 2024 interview with Hamptons magazine.
