Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos made the 2026 Tony Awards a sweet date night.

The longtime couple stepped out for the theater industry's biggest night at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 7, capping off a remarkable season for the family in which both Mark and son Joaquin Consuelos made their Broadway debuts in separate productions.

On the red carpet, Ripa wore a blue floral gown with cap sleeves, while Mark opted for a classic black tuxedo.

Joaquin, 23, starred in director Joe Mantello's acclaimed revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman, portraying a young version of Biff Loman alongside a superstar cast that included Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Chris Abbott and Ben Ahlers.

Mark, 55, meanwhile took the stage in director Scott Ellis' staging of the Noël Coward comedy Fallen Angels. The Roundabout Theatre Company's production, led by Kelli O'Hara and Rose Byrne, wrapped up its limited run on Sunday — hours before the 79th annual Tony Awards began.

Both productions earned multiple Tony nominations this year, including in the Best Revival of a Play category. Lane, Metcalf, Abbott, O'Hara and Byrne also all earned acting nods, while Mantello is up for Best Direction of a Play.

Though Mark and Joaquin didn't get nominations themselves, they've been having fun with the fact that their two shows are going against one another for one of the evening's top awards.

Speaking with PEOPLE earlier this week about their new Hulu docuseries Squatters: Get the F*** Out of My House, Mark revealed there had been "a lot of smack talk" as to whether Death of a Salesman or Fallen Angels is going to take home the Best Revival of a Play prize.

Ripa echoed his statement, teasing about the friendly competition going on between her husband and son.

"It's all good natured," Mark insisted, explaining the two don't have any official bets going.

In fact, the Consuelos family has been supporting one another every step of the way into Mark and Joaquin's foray into Broadway.

In April, Ripa and Mark attended Joaquin's opening night for Death of a Salesman, celebrating the recent University of Michigan graduate's Broadway debut. Later that month, Joaquin joined his parents at the opening of Fallen Angels, where Mark took his own opening-night bow.

Ripa has also frequently praised her husband and son's respective stage performances during "host chat" segments of Live with Kelly and Mark.

"I forget how unbelievably funny you are," Ripa, 55, told her husband in April after seeing him in the show for the first time. "You are amazing. You knocked my socks off." In fact, she liked Consuelos' work so much, it got her thinking about rewarding him in a special way. "If you didn't have two shows today, you may have gotten lucky," Ripa shared.

Seeing Joaquin on stage was especially rewarding to the Emmy winner as a mother.

"Just to see our kid on stage thrilled me," Ripa said, after seeing the show on March 10. "It's crazy. Doesn't make any sense. ... If you would have told me when he was a newborn, 'Oh 22 years from now he'll be starring on Broadway in Death of a Salesman, I would have thought you were on drugs."

"It was unbelievable," she added. "The entire production is incredible and just to see Joaquin up there took my breath away. Took my breath away. Incredible, incredible cast, production, staging — the whole thing."

She later told PEOPLE that she "couldn't be prouder" of Mark and their son, and is thrilled to be attending the Tony Awards no matter what happens.

"Are you kidding? This is my one and only chance to go to the Tonys. I'm going!" Ripa jokes. "Who knows if they'll ever both be on Broadway again at the same time like this. It's probably the only time that my husband's play and my son's play are nominated against each other for Best Revival."

Meanwhile, Mark and Joaquin have opened up about navigating Broadway together while performing just blocks apart. "It's definitely a father-son experience," Joaquin told The New York Times this month. "It's something we both wanted to do, and we're super lucky to be doing it at the same time."

While both men admitted they were initially intimidated to share the stage with Broadway heavyweights, each admitted they've learned a lot by working with such talents — and by watching one another's performances.

"I'm blown away by his confidence, his stage presence," said Mark.

"I watch his extremities. They're always relaxed and chill," Joaquin noted. "You can tell if there's tenseness, and I started to notice that in myself. You can control your body temperature from your hands."

Tickets for Death of a Salesman, running through Aug. 9, are now on sale.

Hosted by Pink, the 2026 Tony Awards air from Radio City Music Hall on both coasts beginning at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. Before the broadcast, Laura Benanti and Tituss Burgess host the pre-show, The Tony Awards: Act One, streaming live on Pluto TV starting at 6:35 p.m. ET.
