A Kentucky man has vanished and the bookstore where he worked is trying to find him.
Todd Garland was reported missing on Monday, June 22, Covington Police Department spokesperson Justin Bradbury said, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer and LinkNYK.
Garland “hasn’t been seen since June 9th,” according to a statement on social media shared by Roebling Books & Coffee.
Julia Keister, a spokesperson for the store, said Garland worked there for about four years before leaving in December, according to the Enquirer.
“If you’ve been to the Newport shop regularly, you know and love Todd,” Roebling Books & Coffee said in its post.
They added, “Please keep an eye and ear out - if you see anything or hear from him please reach out to Covington PD.”
Police had conducted a wellness check at Garland’s apartment on Friday, June 19, Keister said, according to the Enquirer.
During the visit, authorities found Garland’s cellphone as well as his dog and cat, Keister said. The pets were malnourished, she added. (Police did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.)
Garland also worked at Blinkers Tavern in Covington, Ky., for a few months in 2026, Keister said, according to the Enquirer.
