NEED TO KNOW
- Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber recently reunited with their Full House castmates at ’90s Con and reflected on their nearly 40-year friendship
- The longtime best friends have been co-hosting the How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast since 2023, where they revisit the show and share memories
- Despite the years, the pair says their inside jokes and laughs will never get old
The Full House family is still as close as ever, nearly four decades after the beloved sitcom first brought its stars together.
During a reunion at ’90s Con on Sunday, Oct. 18, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber joined their castmates to celebrate the show’s legacy and remember their late costar, Bob Saget. This year’s reunion brought together Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, John Stamos, Dave Coulier and Scott Weinger for a conversation moderated by PEOPLE executive editor Breanne L. Heldman.
The gathering, however, was just another reminder that the bonds formed on the ABC series have lasted long beyond its original run. For Sweetin and Barber, who have been friends since childhood, getting everyone together is always an experience in its own.
“It’s total chaos, but it’s fun,” Sweetin, 44, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I mean, we’re family. We’re a weird, insane, inside-joking, crazy family.”

Sweetin and Barber have been extremely close since playing Stephanie Tanner and Kimmy Gibbler on Full House, and their friendship only grew when they reunited for Netflix’s Fuller House, which ran from 2016 to 2020.
The longtime best friends now co-host How Rude, Tanneritos!, the official Full House rewatch podcast, where they revisit old episodes, share memories and give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the show.
In a joint interview with PEOPLE in July 2023, Barber shared how she hoped the podcast would affect their friendship.
“Jodie and I have always been close and Fuller House just brought us even closer, and so I’m expecting that this podcast will do the same. We’re just going to get even closer,” Barber said at the time. “Full House was our childhood for eight years, eight very formative years. And so getting to relive those memories, things that we haven’t thought about in 35 years, I expect it’s going to deepen our bond even more than it already is.”

Luckily, the podcast has done exactly that.
“We love inside jokes,” Barber tells PEOPLE at this year’s ‘90s Con. “People are like, ‘Why are they laughing? That’s not funny.’ But to us — after almost 40 years of friendship and family — we laugh at everything.”
